My brother and I have a wager going on the top speed of whales (any
species).Could you send me some facts?

Thank you.

The rorquals (the family of baleen whales that includes the blue whale and
the humpback whale) would be the fastest moving 'whales'. Of that family,
the minke whale and the sei whale are thought to be the fastest, exhibiting
bursts of speed (not sustained speed though) of over 30 knots, which is
approximately 35 mph.
