Subject: Male whales and group names

Hi:
A male whale is usually called just a male by scientists, though whalers
used to call them "bulls" in the old days. We still use the word "cow" for
a female whale, especially if she has a calf with her.
The proper name ("collective noun") for a group of whales in a "pod",
although people also use school or just group.
