Hi:
According to Erich Hoyt's excellent book "The whalewatcher's handbook",
you can see killer whales from NE Vancouver Island in summer, on ferries
from Tsawwassen (near Vancouver) to Swartz Bay (Vancouver island),
through the Gulf Islands and between PortHardy and Prince Rupert.
Sightings occur year-round but summer is best. Same is true in the US
in Washington state, notably the San Juan islands.
