I am currently a senior level student in high school Ontario, Canada. In my biology class we are required to do an independent study. I chose to do an independent study tracking the migratory patterns of two harbor porpoises using Whalenet, comparing them to those of "normal" harbor porpoises. To do so requires a lot of research. To my dismay I have not been very successful at finding very useful information on the internet or at our local library. If you could direct me to any web sites or other resources which you feel would be helpful I would be very appreciative. Dear Kayla: Your subject is a difficult one as the study of the migratory patterns of harbour porpoises is relatively recent. There is a researcher by the name of Dr. Reed in the UK who is a well-known researcher of these critters. There is also a popular book out on them by Reed. I am working in Barrow, Alaska, right now and am not near my references, otherwise I could give you the book title and Dr. Reed's email address. I hope this helps.
