Florence

translation: Hello, I would like to know if whales have hair, or just bare
skin. Thank you very much. Florence

Respect,

In English: Good day. Although whales are mammals, and the earliest whales
certainly had hair, almost all of their hair disappeared early in their
evolution. Now only rarely are hairs found around the lips of some whales,
except for humbacks, which have a few dozen hairs on their snouts that act
as sensory devices to help locate schools of fish or krill.
