    Dear Robert,

    Whales of different species swim at varying depths. Baleen whales seem to
    swim down to 350 feet in normal circumstances.
    Whales with teeth dive much deeper. Sperm whales routinely dive 2000 feet
    and more.
    Search here on Whalenet for more detailed information on the depths to which
    different species can sink.
