    Dear Andrei,

Blue whales swim by moving their tails up and down. That makes a forward
    push and the whale moves.

Blue whales make very low , loud humming noises that let other blue whales
know where they are. Some blue whale noises can be heard from a long way
off. search here on Whalenet for Dr. Chris Clark and blue whale sounds.

    Subject: .questions about blue whales

    Dear Dr. Ford,
I learned the blue whales live in salt water. How do blue whales move
    through the water?

    Sincerely,
    Andrei

P.S. How do blue whales call their friends and family?
