Hello Kathy,

The scientific name of the sperm whale is Physeter macrocephalus from Greek
physeter for blower and makros for long and kephale for head.

The blue ringed octopus of the south Pacific secretes venom to subdue it s
prey. This venom is so powerful that its bite is usually lethal to humans.
The scientific name I don;t know, but please contact Johnathon Bird at
(508) 664-9091. He just published a book that talks about cephalopods.

Thank you, Kim Marshall
