Subject: Travelling time for whales

Dear Martha,
        Your questions are good but the answer to the first is tough.  It
can take months at the whale's cruising speed.  Then again, it depends on
what species we're talking about.  Point Barrow whales don't usually come so
far down.  Sorry for not being so specific!
