Dear Tori,

Thank you very much for the information. Yours is the nicest and most
informative I have received. I have looked into what my university offers
but seeing as my school is not near a lot of water (oceans I mean) it makes
it a little difficult.
I have some connections in the scuba diving industry and I am a diver
myself so that should help in the future. I have thought of working at
MarineLand in Niagara Falls, just volunteering with their whale program
but they are very difficult to get a hold of. As you said I have become
involved with groups dedicated to the environment and to marine life.
Hopefully I will be able to become involved with more organizations in the
near future.
Again, thank you very much for your help and the for your time. Don't be
surprised if you hear from me again.

Thank you

Sincerely,

Sonia Barnes

Aloha Sonia,

Seems like you are well on your way, now wonder you're a honour student!
Good luck, and if I don't hear from you, I bet I'll hear OF you. I'm
really glad you are involved with environmental groups, so am I. We need
people like you.

Keep trying at Marineland. Even if you only get a receptionist type person
answering the phone, she should be able to send you brochures on what they
have to offer. Sometimes not being able to get ahold of someone means they
need some help! Offer to answer the phone, if it means getting your foot
in the door. As far as research though, and with your brains you would be
good at this, I don't know if Marine land is the way to go. See what you
find out.

Let me know,
Tori
