Dear Thing101,

You asked if I could tell you a little about myself and what I do.

A general outline of my research can be found on the ASK a scientist page of the
Whalenet website. I am a PhD student at the University of Auckland investigating the
evolutionary relationships of the beaked whales (family Ziphiidae) using molecular genetics.
So I work with beaked whales, not bottlenosed dolphins.

Cheers

Merel
