How often do whales typically feed?

from Kyle, Age 5

That's a big subject, Kyle. It depends on which species we are talking
about, but usually whales feed pretty much all the time. Some of the big
baleen whales stop eating during the winter months, and some of the larger
toothed whales can go for a few days without eating, but for the most part
they just keep on having snacks all day and probably all night for many species.
