Sorry, but I don't have any specific knowledge about
ocean floor plants. I suggest you look at a recent textbook
on marine biology or consult a oceanography librarian if you
have access to one. If you are referring to near-shore plants
such as the kelps, you shouldn't have any trouble find information.
Perhaps do a search on "Macrocystis" or "Kelco".
