Sorry you won't be able to do the camp this summer. But I'm sure you'll
have more opportunities in the future. My best advice for books is read
everything you can. There is no one book that is best and the more you
read, the well-rounded your understanding of marine mammals and the
natural world will be. I have been reading about dolphins since I was in
fourth grade and I still read everything I can get my hands on - popular
books, magazine articles, scientific books, scientific papers in
journals. Your local library probably has a whole section on marine
animals. You might also want to check sections on animal behavior,
natural history and nature.
