Please, go to the Species and Behaviors Information and Links on the
WhaleNet website http://whale.wheelock.edu/whalenet-stuff/classifications.html.
For example, this information was found browsing on the WhaleNet page.
"Humpback whales feed on krill, small shrimp-like crustaceans, and various
kinds of small fish. Each whale eats up to 1 and 1/2 tons(1,361 kg) of food
a day."
In addition, if you want to learn more about their main food item, the
krill, please look at this website:
http://www.ios.bc.ca/ios/plankton/ios_tour/zoop_lab/krill.htm.
Sincerely,
Martine
