Hi:
The wolf of the sea is the killer whale, so called because of its tendency
to hunt very efficiently in packs (pods). Killer whales are divided into
at least two types, which are very different both behaviorally and
genetically (they're essentially on their way to becoming two different
species). These are resients, which feed on fish, and transients, which
feed on marine mammals. It's the transient type that deserves the wolf
comparison.
