Question: i have always been interested in bing a marine biologist to
further study the sharks but i am uncomfortable to scube dive. is this a
necessary part of being a marine biologist?

Reply: Dear Patrick,
Although it is helpful it is not necessary to be a scuba diver to become a
marine biolgist. For more information about what you do need to do to
become a marine biologist please read the careers booklet on WhaleNet.
Just click on the career section button on the front of the ASK page in
WhaleNet. Good luck! Kim
