Subject: Marine Mammal Reserach Collection (fwd)

From: "John E. Heyning" <>

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County houses an extensive
reserach collection of marine mammal specimens. Summary information for
this collection is now available on the Web at You
need to move the screen left to right to see the number of holdings for a
given taxa and location (we are still working on format). This listing also
does not include about 500 specimens that are now being catalogued. We
have set this up to make it easy for researachers to quickly check if we
have the taxa they seek. Hope this will be of use to many of you. Any
email inquiries should be addressed to me at ""
