This is a full-time, permanent position as a fisheries business
specialist who assists in the tracking and verification of canned tuna

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next
lower grade in federal service. Superior academic achievement at the
baccalaureate level (GPA of at least 2.95 on a 4.00 scale) or one full
academic year of graduate level education, which demonstrates the
knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this work, are

will work with Federal and State scientists to develop management
strategies for in-river salmon and steelhead fisheries in California
to ensure adequate protection of species listed under the Endangered
Species Act. This position also will work with Federal and State
scientists and managers to ensure the most current information is
available and to develop approaches to fill critical information gaps.
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience in
the field of fisheries/marine biology comparable to the next lower
grade/band level in the federal service. Education may be substituted
for specialized experience; a Ph.D. degree, or three full years of
progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a
degree, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities

specialized experience in the field of fisheries/marine biology
