Subject: Intern Position Announcement

Interns needed for behavioral research on bottlenose dolphins in the lower
Florida Keys and in the vicinity of Panama City, Florida.

Research being conducted is for a Masters thesis project through the
University of Alabama.

Project will run from November 1998 through December 1999. Position
duration can be short or long, depending on the choice of the intern.

Position is volunteer, but accommodation may be provided.

Data collection will be boat based.

Work involved will include the following: Piloting small 18 foot vessel,
collecting data using video recorders, data entry.

Qualifications: Prefer students with background in the biological sciences
and goals to continue on with this type of education. Experience with word
processing and spreadsheet applications, as well as previous experience
with camera equipment and or work piloting boats a plus, but not a
requirement.
