Subject: Education Coordinator for Friends of the Sea Lion

The Friends of the Sea Lion Marine Mammal Center (FSLMMC) is a
non-profit organization providing medical care and rehabilitation to
rescued seals and sea lions in Orange County.  Information on the center
can be found at fslmmc.org.

Friends of the Sea Lion is seeking a full-time Education Coordinator to
run the educational programs at the center.  The Coordinator will manage
and improve existing programs as well as develop new programs.
Responsibilities include overseeing current educational programs,
developing new curriculum and interpretive displays, training and
supervision of education volunteers, recruitment of new volunteers,
solicitation of private and corporate donations and web site management.

Qualified applicants will:

Have experience in marine science education;
Have experience with staff management and supervision;
Have experience in administration of non-profit organizations;
Have some fund raising experience;
Have minimum 2 years related experience;
Have earned a B. S. degree (M.S. preferred).

The salary range for this position is between $25,000 and $35,000 per
year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
