Subject: tag!

Hi Mike!
Well I got the first tag out this week, but just one. There seem to be
less porpoises in nets this year than last... but Im still thinking
positive for next week.

Here's the info on the porpoise.

"Nelson"
Male 139 cm long

Released 7 June 2000 19:09
Field Number: VF-02-2000
Argos Number: 29583
Release Position: Lat: 69.8 N Lon: 30.5 E

There were no good positions from the first night. Judging from the data,
I have a feeling the sat passes are bad from about 21:00 on. Anyway, the
second morning, two of the salmon fishermen found Nelson tangled in their
net! This was a different net, about 1 km from the first. Fortunatly, he
was still alive and they released him (this was about 10:00). Seems like
he's now moved away from the coast.
