Subject: Entanglement update 7/14/00
Hi All
The entangled whale was tracked through the night. It swam out of the Bay
and this afternoon Andrew Westgate from the Grand Manan Research Station
found the whale at 44 19.0’N 66 39.0’W.
CCS are flying up to Lubec, Maine this evening and will work with the Whale
Emergency Network tomorrow in attempts to try and free the whale.
If anyone should see the animal tomorrow or would like to contact the Whale
Emergency Network, we will be on the Todd & Cherida and can be contacted on
Channel 16 or via pager (902) 558 3376.
Further information will follow.
