Dead sperm whale found on Casablanca beach
RABAT, Jan 4 (Reuter) - The body of a sperm whale weighing
15 tonnes was washed up from the Atlantic onto a beach by the
Moroccan town of Casablanca on Tuesday, the Moroccan news agency
MAP reported.
It quoted experts as saying the whale had a cavity in its
head containing oil. It was the first time in more than 10 years
that a whale, rarely found in warm waters, had been washed up on
Morocco's shores.
