Maine protests right whale rules
AUGUSTA, Maine, April 18 (UPI S) -- Maine Gov. Angus King says (Friday)
he will complain directly to President Clinton about proposed rule
changes aimed at protecting the few remaining right whales in the
Atlantic Ocean. The governor says the proposed National Marine
Fisheries Service rules threaten the state's lobster industry with tens
of millions of dollars in extra costs.
