FYI.... after 29 days of tracking (as of the 16th) we have received 104
locations, about 840 data messages (dive data) and have sent roughly 7000
messages from the tag. So far (knock on wood) we have received locations
every day the tag has been at sea. Of the 104 locations, 36 have had LC's
of "0" or better. Below is are readings of the tag's voltage (power
output) that we have gotten back. Keep in mind power below 5 volts is not
a good thing, and power will vary with use and temperature of the tag. (I
think the dip in the voltage may have been due to "Casino" spending more
time diving deeper in colder water, but I've got to check the data to be
sure that is right). By contrast, after 29 days at sea, "Mystic" had sent
roughly 6000 messages, of which we received roughly 80 locations and about
370 data messages (both tags are programmed to send no more than 250
signals per day, to save battery power... we can expect the tag to send
10,000-15,000 signals)("Mystic's" tag sent roughly 16,000 signals before it
shut down). After 29 days, the power level of "Mystic's" tag was lower
than "Casino" is now (again, probably due to the colder water).

Below is some dive data compiled from last week's dive data. Dive rate is
the average number of dives made per six hour sampling period. The
percentages are the percent of total dives done to the various depths and
durations. This was during a time when he was over water depths of 100-400
meters.
