Subject: Data seal location "Casino", "PoeGo" 7/20/98

Mike et al,
Frustrating weekend. Good locations from "Casino". Locations still along
the coast, keeping in the same general direction. Most of the locations
are from"sea", however the most recent from early today are from shore.
Status messages from the tag show that the tag is starting to show some
real signs of wear in the power department. The power is dropping off
fairly rapidly and... well you know... ("I dinna' know how much more she
can take cap'n), but we will see ( over sixty days so far).
As for "PoeGo"....looks like we should have named him "WhereGo"...no
locations from over the weekend, no data either for that matter. A day or
so with no data is not unusual with hooded seals especially right after
release, but this is now three days with no signal, and this is where I
start to do some real worrying. We will see what happens over the next few
days. Keep your fingers crossed.
