![]() PSC 253: Introduction to Oceanography

Course Description:
Introduction to the global ocean with emphasis on the physical, chemical and geological sciences as they pertain the marine environment. Particular attention will be given to gaining a practical knowledge of how the physical, chemical and geological systems interact and affect the coastal zone and its inhabitants. Laboratory work and field trips will supplement lectures and assignments. No prior knowledge of marine sciences is expected. This course meets the Language Arts distribution requirements.
