Project 1: Erden's Rate of Travel
Project 1 contains an exercise that calculates Erden's rate of travel, compares methods of estimating his rate, and estimates his time of arrival in Australia. Spreadsheets can be used in this exercise.

Project 2 conatins an exercise to learn about the surface currents in the Pacific Ocean and how they may affect Erden's route to Australia. Maps and Internet searches will be used in this exercise.

Wind and Currents
Project 4: How will wind affect Erden's travels?
Project 4 is an exercise to observe and learn about wind and surface currents, and how these may affact Erden's direction and rate of travel. Mapping, collecting data, hypothesizing, and forming a research plan are used in this exercise.
