11/8/05 - "39395"

MARC-05-081-Pv On September 4, 2005, New England Aquarium on the ocean side of Plum Island rescued a large adult male Harbor Seal weighing 67 kg at a length of 150cm. The male Harbor seal was in the process of molting and had a broken bone in his right front flipper. He was transported to the Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center (MARC) at the University of New England to be rehabilitated and released.

On Nov 8th 2005 a spot tag was attached to the male Harbor seal and he was released at high noon at Granite Point, Maine.
