EWS Update #11 02/20/97 - 02/26/97 I'm afraid that I don't have much to "update" this week. The weather report for the past week reads something like this: windy, windy, windy, increasing winds, extremely windy, extremely windy, dense fog...I think you get the picture. During the three and and a half surveys that we were able to fly, we had no right whale sightings. However, it seems problable that there are whales still around. We know from the FL-DEP aerial survey crew that there are a few mother/calf pairs hanging around to the south of our area, one of them being our most frequently seen mom this season, #1509-"Rat".
