EWS Update #4
12/26/96 - 01/01/97

We've had a productive week for the last week of the year, with five
sightings including three mother/calf pairs and two groups of right
whales. Not too bad considering the amount of time that we've been
sitting around waiting for the fog to clear. 

The animals seemed to be celebrating New Year's Eve along with us. On
12/31 we had breaching right whales, breaching basking sharks, a huge
"party" of basking sharks hanging out in formation (~50) and several
acrobatic groups of dolphin.
