Four tracks along the western edge of the Great South Channel were flown on the NMFS/MA/CG aerial survey. Two right whales were sighted. The Center for Coastal Studies (CCS) vessel surveyed tracks 5-8 in Cape Cod Bay and reported no right whale sightings.
CONCENTRATIONS OF ENDANGERED NORTHERN RIGHT WHALES ARE KNOWN TO BE PRESENT IN CAPE COD BAY. SIGHTINGS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY THE FOLLOWING COORDINATES:
