NOAA/NMFS Right Whale Survey

REPORT:

A right whale sighting was reported by a whale watch vessel out of ber Harboe, ME this afternoon. The whale was surface feeding. Additionally, NMFS surveyed the Northeast Peak of George's Bank and 1 trackline in the Great South Channel. No right whales were observed.

CONCENTRATIONS OF ENDANGERED NORTHERN RIGHT WHALES ARE KNOWN TO BE PRESENT IN CAPE COD BAY. SIGHTINGS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY THE FOLLOWING COORDINATES:
