REPORT:

A right whale sighting was reported by a whale watch vessel out of Bar Harbor, Maine early yesterday evening. NMFS surveyed in the Gulf of Maine on 2 July from south of Mt. Desert Island up to south of grand Manan Island. Many humpback and finback whales were sighted, but no right whales.

A whale watch vessel from bar Harbor, maine reported a sighting of 2 right whales today. The whales were skim feeding.

CONCENTRATIONS OF ENDANGERED NORTHERN RIGHT WHALES ARE KNOWN TO BE PRESENT IN CAPE COD BAY. SIGHTINGS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY THE FOLLOWING COORDINATES:
