REPORT:

Two whale watch vessels reported sighting an individual right whale each on the north and south parts of Jeffreys Basin on 6 July. The adult right whale sighted in the northern part was skim feding. The whale sighted on the southern part was reported as less than full grown and did not spend much time at the surface.

CONCENTRATIONS OF ENDANGERED NORTHERN RIGHT WHALES ARE KNOWN TO BE PRESENT IN CAPE COD BAY. SIGHTINGS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY THE FOLLOWING COORDINATES:
