REPORT:

A mother and calf pair of right whales was spotted off Dennis Harbor in Cape Cod bay. The mother is entangled. Presently, the Center for Coastal Studies is attempting disentanglement with Coast Guard and MA Marine Patrol assistance standing by at the scene.

CONCENTRATIONS OF ENDANGERED NORTHERN RIGHT WHALES ARE KNOWN TO BE PRESENT IN CAPE COD BAY. SIGHTINGS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY THE FOLLOWING COORDINATES:
