A whalewatch vessel reported a sighting today in shallow waters of cape cod Bay of a calf or juvenile right whale. Based on Center for Coastal Studies past years data, this right whale is likely to be found along the Cape Cod Bay shoreline in shallow water for the next several days.

If the whale is observed entangled, please call (800) 900-3622 or beeper (508)803-0204 and standby whale.

CONCENTRATIONS OF ENDANGERED NORTHERN RIGHT WHALES ARE KNOWN TO BE PRESENT IN CAPE COD BAY. SIGHTINGS HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY THE FOLLOWING COORDINATES:
